CoD Tournaments for Money: Where to Play in 2026

By DuelX Competitive Team · 9/2/2026

You can play CoD tournaments for money on DuelX, which runs cash brackets and one-off wager matches across Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Black Ops II, the original Black Ops, and Call of Duty: Mobile. You pay an entry fee up front, both stakes sit in escrow until the result is confirmed, and the winner takes 100% of the combined pot with nothing deducted at payout.

The part most players get wrong is treating a cash bracket like a pub lobby. Every match runs off a published ruleset — settings, restricted items, map pool, host rotation, proof requirements — and the quickest way to drop money you should have won is showing up without having read yours.

Where can you play CoD tournaments for money?

DuelX hosts CoD cash play in two shapes: scheduled tournaments with a bracket and a check-in window, and open wager matches you post or accept whenever you want one. Four Call of Duty titles are live for cash — Black Ops 7, Black Ops II, Black Ops, and CoD Mobile — alongside Fortnite, Rocket League, and NBA 2K26 on the same games list.

A tournament entry locks you into a bracket that starts at a fixed time, with a series length set per round — early rounds and finals can run different best-of lengths, and the bracket page shows both before you register. A wager match is the lighter version of the same machinery: you pick game, mode, team size, skill level and stake, and the first opponent who accepts is your match. Both use identical rulesets, escrow and dispute handling, so nothing you learn in one is wasted in the other. If you want the flow without the stake, every game also carries free-entry XP matches.

How much does it cost to enter a CoD tournament for money?

You pay the entry fee the match or tournament is posted at, plus a platform fee of 10% of the entry or $0.25, whichever is larger, charged at the moment you enter. Everything left after that fee goes into the pot, and the winner receives 100% of the combined pot — nothing is deducted again at payout.

Two worked examples, because the flat floor surprises people at small stakes:

  • $5 entry, 1v1. The fee is $0.50, so $4.50 from each side goes into the pot. The winner collects $9.
  • $1 entry, 1v1. Ten percent is only $0.10, so the $0.25 floor applies instead. $0.75 from each side goes in, and the winner collects $1.50.

The floor makes anything under a $2.50 entry proportionally expensive, so if you are grinding volume at low stakes, $2.50 and up is where the percentage math stops working against you. If you only want reps, XP matches cost nothing but time.

Which Call of Duty games and modes can you play for cash?

Each CoD title on the platform carries its own supported mode list, and you can only post or accept a cash match in a mode that is on it. Black Ops 7 carries the widest spread; the legacy titles are deliberately narrow.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 — Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, Overload, Gunfight, and Kill Race
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II — Search & Destroy and Hardpoint
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops — Search & Destroy
  • Call of Duty: Mobile — Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, and 1v1 Duel

Search & Destroy is the common language across all four, which matters if you are rolling a roster between titles. Kill Race on BO7 is the outlier worth knowing: it runs in Quick Play, the team with the most combined eliminations wins, and ties break first on top individual eliminations, then on total score.

What maps do CoD money matches use?

Every mode with a cash match has a fixed map pool published in its ruleset, so nobody gets to pick a home-field map that is not on the list. Read the pool before you queue — the legacy pools are small enough to learn completely.

  • BO7 Search & Destroy — Den, Scar, Raid, Fringe, Gridlock, Plaza
  • BO7 Hardpoint — Colossus, Den, Gridlock, Sake, Scar
  • BO7 Overload — Den, Exposure, Scar
  • BO7 Gunfight — Abyss, Cortex, Flagship, Nexus, Odysseus, Onsen, Paranoia, Torque, Yakei
  • BO2 Search & Destroy — Cargo, Express, Raid, Slums, Standoff
  • BO2 Hardpoint — Raid, Standoff, Slums, Yemen
  • BO1 Search & Destroy — Hanoi, Firing Range, Grid, Havana, Villa
  • CoD Mobile Search & Destroy — Standoff, Crash, Firing Range, Summit, Raid, Takeoff, Crossfire
  • CoD Mobile Hardpoint — Summit, Apocalypse, Raid, Takeoff, Firing Range, Standoff, Nuketown
  • CoD Mobile 1v1 Duel — Killhouse, Shipment 1944, Nuketown, Dome, Rust, Firing Range

On BO7, BO2 and BO1 the host for each map is listed on the match details page, and the non-hosting team picks its starting side. In a best-of-three or best-of-five, the team with the most combined rounds won hosts the last map; if that is tied, whoever hosted map one hosts the decider. CoD Mobile alternates instead — home hosts and picks game one, away picks game two, then it rotates.

What settings and restricted items do CoD cash matches run?

Each mode ships a settings list you are expected to apply when you host, and a restricted items list you are expected to respect when you build a class. Hosting with the wrong rules is its own penalty on the legacy titles, so this is not decoration.

On BO7, Search & Destroy runs CDL Search and Destroy with scorestreaks off, equipment delay at 5 seconds, automatic doors on and killcams on. Hardpoint runs CDL Hardpoint with scorestreaks off, automatic doors off, callout pings off, a 3-second respawn delay and team assignment on. Overload runs the default mode with a longer toggle list — scorestreaks off, weapon mounting off, battle chatter off, dynamic map elements off, friendly fire on, respawn delay at 3.5 seconds. Gunfight has no restricted items and needs no host changes at all, which makes it the cleanest first cash match on the title.

On BO2 Search & Destroy the restricted list is long and specific: the M8A1 and MSMC on primaries, the B23R and Combat Knife on secondaries, Lightweight, Toughness, Dexterity, Extreme Conditioning and Dead Silence on perks, all five Greed and Gunfighter wildcards, and attachments including Quickdraw, Fore Grip, Extended Mag, FMJ and Laser Sight. Round timer is 1.5 minutes, round limit 6, defuse 7.5 seconds, sides switch every round. BO2 Hardpoint inherits the same allowed items and runs 250 points over 10 minutes.

On BO1 Search & Destroy all equipment is banned and killstreaks are off in the class editor. Allowed perks are Lightweight Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro, Steady Aim Pro, Marathon Pro, Ninja Pro and Tac Mask Pro; lethals are Frag and Semtex, tactical is the Stun Grenade. Shotguns, LMGs, sniper rifles, the FN FAL, G11 and M14 are out, as are under-barrel attachments, Dual Wield and Rapid Fire. Round timer is 2:30 with a 6-round win limit.

On CoD Mobile, all three modes run with no scorestreaks and no operator skills. S&D is 13 rounds, first to 7 takes the map, one life per round. Hardpoint is 250 points over 10 minutes. 1v1 Duel is 30 kills or 10 minutes, and if both players do not agree a weapon class before the first shot, anything goes.

Full lists per title live on each game rules page — BO7 rules is the one to bookmark if BO7 is your main.

What proof do you need if a CoD match goes to dispute?

Both sides report their own score independently, and if the two reports disagree the match opens a dispute automatically, where each player uploads evidence and a moderator rules on it. Proof has to be video — console DVR clips are the expected format, the full scoreboard with gamertags and match info has to be readable, and Xbox, PSN, Twitter or Skype messages are explicitly not accepted.

A few things that decide disputes more often than skill does:

  • On Xbox, enable 3-minute clips and capture one the moment each map ends. Not having it can cost you a forfeit or a replay.
  • Where past broadcasts are required, turn the stream off and back on after changing the setting so it actually saves, and leave the VOD up for at least 24 hours after your match.
  • For a no-show ticket, you need at least five minutes of video from between minute five and minute ten of the wait, showing your invite or join attempts with on-screen timestamps — and a separate clip per map in a multi-map series.
  • If you suspect a cheater mid-match on BO7 Kill Race, play it to completion and submit proof afterward. Leaving early can forfeit you the match if the suspicion is not confirmed.

Escrow does not move while a dispute is open, so nobody can take the pot and run mid-argument.

Do you need a team to enter, or can you play 1v1?

You can do either — team sizes run 1v1 through 4v4, and tournaments publish their team size before registration opens so you know whether you need a duo, a trio or a full squad. Solo entrants are first-class on every title, and CoD Mobile 1v1 Duel exists specifically for players who never want to coordinate with anyone.

Whatever size you enter at, everyone on the roster needs their gamertag set for that game platform, matching exactly how it appears in-game. On BO7 that means your Activision ID including the numeric tag; on BO2 and BO1 it is your PSN or Xbox gamertag. A mismatch is treated as a no-show, but a match played through to completion on the wrong ID stands as played — so fix it before the lobby, not after.

How do you get paid after you win a CoD cash match?

The escrow releases to the winner as soon as the result is confirmed, and you receive the entire combined pot — the fee was already taken at entry, so nothing further comes out. Wins also award XP and ladder points, so a cash match moves your seasonal standing on the ladders as well as your balance.

Paid play is available where DuelX supports it, and the platform runs an eligibility check on your location at signup rather than asking you to work it out yourself — if cash entry is not available to you, XP matches and ladders still are. Anything the rules pages do not answer goes to support, and the FAQ covers wallet and account mechanics.

Coming in cold, the low-risk path is boring and it works: run a few XP matches in the mode you plan to enter, read that exact ruleset, set up your capture before you queue, then post your first cash match at a stake you would shrug off. The players who last treat the first ten matches as calibration, not income.

Frequently asked questions

Does your Activision ID have to match exactly for a BO7 cash match?
Yes, including the numeric tag after the hash. A mismatched gamertag on the match details is treated as a no-show, though if the match gets played to completion on the wrong ID the outcome stands.
Which consoles can you use for Black Ops II and Black Ops matches?
PlayStation matches are PS4 and PS5 only, and every Xbox player has to be on Xbox One because Xbox 360 is banned on both titles. PC is not supported for either legacy game.
Are controller adapters allowed in CoD matches?
The Brook Wingman is the only approved adapter, and using any other one results in a forfeit. If your controller is not native to the console you are on, you may be asked to show what it is connected to.
Which streaming platforms count when past broadcasts are required?
Twitch, YouTube, Kick and Facebook are the eligible platforms, and TikTok is not. Turn the stream off and back on after enabling past broadcasts so the setting saves, and leave the VOD up for at least 24 hours.
What happens if a CoD Mobile match disconnects early?
In Search & Destroy a disconnect before round 3 means a clean restart, and after that you restart from the score at the drop with proof. Hardpoint and 1v1 Duel use the first two minutes as the same cutoff, and quitting mid-match is a forfeit either way.
Who hosts the last map in a best-of-three CoD series?
The team with the most combined rounds won hosts the decider on BO7, BO2 and BO1. If that is tied, whoever hosted map one hosts the last map.
